HELP FOR THE FAMILY | Matthew 19:13–15

At Florence Baptist Temple, children have always been close to the heart of our ministry—from the early days of bus ministry to the many programs and facilities we’ve built to support families. But in today's culture, we’re seeing disturbing trends: fewer children in church, parents stepping back spiritually, and society pulling the next generation away from biblical truth.

In this message from Matthew 19:13–15, we take a hard look at what’s happening in our families and what God’s Word has to say about it.

God loves children—more than we do.
Children can be saved—and must be.
God’s Word is the owner’s manual for raising children His way—not man’s way.

Statistics from George Barna and Ken Ham paint a sobering picture. The window for reaching a child’s heart is small—and our calling as parents and grandparents is clear: train them up in the way they should go (Prov. 22:6).

This isn’t just a parenting talk—it’s a call to follow Christ wholeheartedly, so we can lead our families well.
