Milnsbridge is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, situated 2 miles (3 km) west of the town centre, and in the Colne Valley. The name is said to have derived from the water-powered mill and the bridge that stood alongside it in the 13th century.

Slaithwaite (/ˈslæθ.weɪt/ SLAH-wit, ; Old Norse for "timber-fell thwaite/clearing")[1] is a town in the Kirklees district of West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is in the Colne Valley and on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, 5 miles (8 km) south-west of Huddersfield.
