Some parents are concerned that the focus on Academy tracks could impact students' SAT and ACT performance, potentially reducing scholarship opportunities, as these scores remain crucial for some colleges and universities.

Parents and students who prefer not to participate in the Academy must formally request to "opt out," providing reasons for their decision to be exempt from the program.
