🇮🇷 In a pointed statement, a spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization challenged Western criticism of its uranium enrichment levels, stating:
“What’s wrong with enrichment above 60%?

There is no limit on this in the NPT.”

🇮🇷 Iran insists that its nuclear activities remain within the legal framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which does not explicitly restrict enrichment levels for civilian purposes.

The statement comes amid growing Western and Israeli pressure over Iran’s expanding nuclear capabilities.

Tehran maintains that its enrichment is peaceful and technically legal—while warning that attempts to politicize or weaponize the issue undermine trust in international norms.
