I thought I would post this today because I've been seeing questions about F10 and how to use it.

The bottle specifically states "remove all animals and food out of the room."

It is NOT safe to use around your birds and other pets, including livestock. Just as it states.

Do not spray this on shredable paper toys.

F10 is good to use if you need to disinfect a sick birds house and other hard items.

It is also a good idea to use once a month for those heavy duty deep cleaning. Just remember to NOT have any animals, including birds and food in the same room. If the bird house is small enough you can take it and put it in the tub and clean it there. If it isn't small enough to fit, weather permitting, you can take the cage outside and once you've cleaned it, and rinsed it thoroughly, leave it in the Sun to dry.

The items need to be visibly wet for 10 minutes from F10 and then it NEEDS to be cleaned with water and dawn dish soap, rinsed thoroughly and wiped down. Do NOT leave it on toys, countertops, cages or anything else that you might use it on. Remember to clean up your floors after as well.

F10 is good for heavy duty deep cleaning. As described above.

A safer option is a mixture of vinegar and water. I have bottles of it in every room that I spend time in with my birds, along with a roll of paper towels. This way if one of my boys guano on the floor or anywhere else I can clean it up right away.

For cleaning cages, toys and perches I first spray with vinegar and water. I soak it really well and let it sit for a bit while I do something else. I spray everything again when I am ready to clean it. I have a bucket of hot water with dawn dish soap, a wash cloth and a non-ibrasive sponge to use afterwards.

Please be careful when using F10. Always read the instructions first before using anything else.

After I am finished with my bucket, I dump it, wipe it out and I spray it with F10 and I leave it sit until I need to use the bucket again. After dumping the water I also spray the sink or tub and let it sit until I need to use the sink again, which is always the same day, several times a day.
