👉On October 12, 2017, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives arrested 23-year old Raisamar Castro after it was determined that she had sexual intercourse with a 14-year old male and inappropriately touched a 16-year old male while all three were in bed together. The 16-year old removed himself from the situation after Castro touched him and had him touch her, but Castro had sex with the 14-year old two different times.

Castro denied these allegations and submitted DNA to Major Crimes detectives for evidence. On October 9, 2017, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Forensic Laboratory compared her DNA to the DNA collected from the 14-year old juvenile’s sexual assault kit. The lab results indicated a 1 in 3.1 billion match for Castro’s DNA on samples collected from the victim’s private parts. There was also a 1 in 7 billion match for the suspect’s DNA on the victim’s underwear.

Castro was arrested and charged with one count of Lewd and Lascivious Battery on the 14-year old victim and one count of Simple Battery on the 16-year old victim
