In 1933 Richard Buckminster Fuller built three vehicles like this one. The first one caught fire and the third one ended up as junk. Only the second one survived, that after spending 18 months in a Canadian museum, Norman Foster acquired it to redesign it and manufacture the Dymaxion nr. 4 Buckminster even wanted them to be flying vehicles. He wanted to revolutionize the automobile industry.
