Family in You

This is one of my earliest songwriting attempts, born out of a prayer for guidance in sharing God's love with Nikole.
In less than 10 minutes, God gave me this song, and I pray it brings you hope in Christ.

Families aren't always easy; disagreements, hurt, arguments, stress, and messiness can be part of the journey. Yet, the Lord reminded me years ago, "I love you more than I care that you if like Me." This truth has been a lifeline for me as a husband, father, and friend, even in painful moments.

Reflecting on God's love for me, despite my flaws, fills me with hope. He's my only hope. I love my family deeply and would sacrifice my life for them without hesitation. However, the greater challenge is living out God's love, sharing truth, and pointing them to the Way and Life, regardless of their response.

The key is believing and receiving God's love, then living it out. God loves you exactly where you are.

A Prayer for God's Family (Ephesians 3:14-21)

For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth is named. May He grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, and may you, being rooted and grounded in love, comprehend the width, length, depth, and height of Christ's love, which surpasses knowledge. May you be filled with all the fullness of God.

To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
