Now, one thing that is clear right from the start of "Eye Of The Storm from the minute you press play is the absolute Black Sabbath worship from start to finish, and this is a damned good thing. This is pure fantasy driven doom/trad/power metal.
This is alot slower than Haunt and has a darker tonality and atmosphere but this is equally captivating and incredible. The atmospheric textures behind this amazing guitar work, drumming and bass along with trevors vocals is just mindblowing guys. The production is once again that 80s style muddy production that made so much music of that era so godamned incredible.

Now musically and lyrically this is all about the experience of love and betrayal, as its very clear in the lyrics and the dark melancholic riffs that swallow you into their embrace and the emotion that's being displayed here is deeper and darker than HAUNT but also similar in terms of structure, atmosphere and it's overall goal.

In fact if you were to have Haunt and Beastmaker on record together it would go so damned well together and i hope that they consider doing this in the future.
The music that's presented here is so godamned nostalgic and powerful and it will make you feel every emotion and riff, drum beat and bass line and lyric that this masterpiece contains. This is however another EP and clocks in at just 17 minutes however its pure bliss and a traditional doom metal classic that will keep you coming back for more constantly.

I swear the Black Sabbath worship on this project is on full display and done so godamned good that you would swear this is the band that will bring that old school straight up doom traditional metal style back to the forefront of what made metal so great in the 70's and 80's... I swear man if metal keeps putting out projects like this i will be stoked as hell and you can best believe im buying both Haunt's and Beastmaker's material because this is once again the essence of true metal brilliance.

This is a trip back to when "brutality and evil" didn't matter, there were no gimmicks, trends or guidelines to adhere to back in those days and Beastmaker is a slap in the face to any of those trends that metal is so full of today. Why can't more bands be like Haunt and Beastmaker guys? Though i will say that thanks to an awesome youtube channel simply called "NWOTHM full albums" (check them out on youtube, because this guy knows his stuff and uploads masterpieces constantly that i will be listening to and reviewing for sure and likely buying music from!) i am discovering that there are indeed alot more bands like these guys just exploding and making metal great again.

I mean sure the more extreme side of metal definitely has its legitimacy, place, and purpose. But i think what im beginning to find with bands like Beastmaker and Haunt is that you don't have to be blisteringly heavy and extreme to deliver pure metal brilliance that capitvates your soul and makes you remember what pure expressionism is supposed to be all about and this record does it in spades.

Now granted you guys know I absolutely love extreme metal and most of its directions, concepts, ideas and composition but one thing i find some of it lacks is authenticty and genuine emotional content (this is more true in stuff like brutal death metal than anything else) Because you guys know i love dsbm and funeral doom and while bands like haunt and beastmaker are not nearly as dark and depressive?

They are indeed in that category that i place alot of value and meaning behind and i honestly believe that this is the thought process that went into Beastmaker's Eye Of The Storm and i really feel like this album is all about experiencing that eye of the storm in life and coming out the other side better and stronger than you went into it. This is an absolute essential metal classic ladies and gentleman!

The final verdict for Beastmaker-The Eye Of The Storm is going to get a 10/10 .. Perfection here ladies and gentleman. Buy this album because i know i will be!
