I feel like this is an underrated black/thrash/death metal classic that is not nearly talked about enough. I also feel like this is an absolute essential metal album for numerous reasons. One of those reasons of course is because of "Dead" per ohlin being their vocalist. Morbid was a band that were way fucking ahead of the curve when it came to extreme metal.

the ideas and concepts being explored on this short 18 min ep are nothing short of extreme metal perfection. it's original, its dark, its brutal and most of all its fucking real. The emotional content of this album is incredible. The cover art is absolutely amazing and the album really paints this atmosphere very fucking well. Its so godamned cold and the insturmentation really emphasizes it so fucking well. This is an ESSENTIAL black metal album regardless of what anyone out there says. Now the lineup on this album was of course Per Dead Ohlin on vocals. Dr Schitz on bass. Drutten on drums. Napoleon Pukes on guitars and Zoran jovanovic on guitars as well

So the album opens with the track "My Dark Subconscious" and immediately we are introduced to a desolate dark atmosphere with some incredible riffing, bass and drums from these maniacs and it feels like a trip into a dark abyss which is obviously dead's mind. now if some of you don't know? Dead committed suicide tragically on april 8, 1991. Lets take a moment of silence for dead guys....... This song is obviously about deads complete fascination and obsession with death with lyrics like "beyond of death, of darkness a land beyond for sure dark its sky, dark as my hatred. Several times i saw it, because of death that brings them near, memories from my past time, and now ill see the sorcerer" its really alluding to at least in my opinion dead wanting to find someone who could cure his dark outlook on life perhaps? This is really an immaculate track and a killer opener ladies and gentleman...
