Jeremiah 15:4 "...I (YAH) will cause them (the Israelites) to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem." Well, this is what Manasseh did: "...he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal (Lord), and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven (stars, sun and moon), and served them. And he built altars in the house of YAH, of which YAH said, In Jerusalem will I put My Name. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of YAH (the Temple). And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of YAH, to provoke Him to anger. And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house..." (2 Kings 21:3-7) Now, in my own personal opinion, I think Jeroboam, Ahab and Manasseh were the three worst kings of Israel; Jeroboam created the two calf idols of Dan and Bethel and Ahab, with his strange/non-Israelite wife, Jezebel killed hundreds of YAH's prophets. Scripture says Manasseh repented after YAH sent him into captivity (the Septuagint Apocrypha has Manasseh's prayer in it), but the damage Manasseh caused to Israel was devastating. The many idols that Manasseh created were not destroyed until the reign of Israel's righteous king, Josiah--Josiah, in the eighteenth year of his reign, began to restore the temple of YAH (2 Kings 22:3-6) and he went on to destroy the idols that were in the land of Israel -- not only the idols in the kingdom of Judah but also the idols that were in the territory of the kingdom of Ephraim/Israel (2 Kings 23:4-20). Josiah tried to mend Israel's relationship with YAH, but as the prophetess Huldah had prophesied to Josiah and his men in 2 Kings 22:14-20, YAH was still going to bring evil upon Jerusalem. 2 Kings 23:26-27 "...YAH turned not from the fierceness of His great wrath, wherewith His anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked Him withal. And YAH said, I will remove Judah also out of My sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My Name shall be there." YAH's mercy on Manasseh shows that YAH indeed "is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy" as Psalms 145:8 says. It's time for all Israelites/black slave descendants to repent for our sins in our present-day captivity/exile as Manasseh did in his captivity/exile so that YAH can be merciful to us and allow us to return to Jerusalem as well.
