Protest or riot: what's happening in LA?

This marks day six of anti-ICE demonstrations in Los Angeles with a curfew set to go into effect again from 8PM to 6AM PT. Tensions have been high as the National Guard faces off with agitators, who local officials say have no ties to the immigration advocates. As protests spread to other cities like New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver and Dallas, there are questions over what's happening in Los Angeles... mainly are these protests, riots or a mix of both? California Gov. Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass continue to criticize President Donald Trump's decision to send the National Guard and the Marines to southern California, saying it has escalated the situation, while Trump says Los Angeles (LA) would burn without the assistance.
