Los Angeles enforces curfew after week of protests over immigration raids

Los Angeles had its quietest night in a week as police enforced a night-time curfew in the city centre. That's the city's latest response to mass protests against federal immigration raids. Meanwhile, US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth defended sending National Guard troops to California during a contentious exchange with Senate lawmakers on Wednesday.
