Mowgli and the Fire Fang

The jungle was silent — too silent. The birds had stopped chirping, and even the wind seemed afraid to whisper through the trees.

Mowgli, now older and braver, was tracking something. Bagheera had warned him of a new danger — Fire Fang, a massive cobra with glowing red eyes and venom that could burn through trees. The jungle elders said Fire Fang had awakened after a hundred years of slumber, and wherever he went, the forest turned to ash.

That night, Baloo, Bagheera, and Mowgli camped near the ancient ruins, where Fire Fang was last seen. But before dawn, Baloo was bitten and collapsed. Mowgli knelt beside him, helpless — there was no cure. Unless…

Unless Mowgli could find the Moon Orchid, a rare flower that grew only in the deepest part of the jungle, guarded by the fierce wild elephants.

Mowgli set off alone. On his way, he faced a raging river, escaped Shere Khan's ambush, and outsmarted a pack of hungry jackals. Finally, he reached the glowing Moon Orchid. But as he reached out, Fire Fang appeared, coiled and ready to strike.

“You cannot steal what belongs to me,” hissed the serpent.

Mowgli didn’t back down. “I do not steal. I protect.”

He grabbed a burning branch from a nearby tree struck by lightning and held it between them. Fire Fang hissed and lunged—but Mowgli hurled the fire at him. The serpent shrieked as flames wrapped around him, and he vanished into the shadows.

Mowgli returned and gave Baloo the orchid juice. Slowly, his big bear friend stirred and smiled weakly.

The jungle cheered. Fire Fang was gone, and once again, the boy without fear had saved the wild.
