2025 EDIT: M.U.L.E. was an Atari/Commodore game from 1983, back when EA only forged solid gold entertainment. You and three other players (Either CPU or filthy flesh creatures) are dropped on an uninhabited planet and set up a colony to farm, collect energy and mine. You outfit mules with gear and install them on your plots of land, gather resources, and sell them to the store or other players. The game was made with Monopoly in mind, where you can swindle other players for maximum profit.

The creator, Dan Bunten, has an interesting story as well, if you're up to looking for it.
