Here is what most people see.
Another prohibition.
Don’t Smoke, Drink or Chew or go with the girls who do.

Here is the secret in this short admonition. Don’t get drunk. Doesn’t say don’t drink.

The problem with most of you lack judgment and discernment. You don’t know when to quit drinking.

What is that saying; your greatest asset may also be your greatest hindrance. Your loquacious behavior maybe fun but it is also a hindrance in knowing when to be quiet.

Here’s the other half of this verse. Be filled with the Holy Spirit so much so that it is absolute ROMANCE to walk with God.

Do you even remember what a romance is like? Can’t wait to be with that person, hear what they have to say or want to do. That’s is somewhat like a Romance with the Holy Spirit o

God is opening doors before you arrive. Providing answers at just the right moment. Like watching a plan come together with planned precision.

If it doesn’t work out right away. It’s because God has a glorious work around. You could not have seen beforehand, but God did.

We have our puny plans but God has a plan that looks out 500 to 1000 years into the future.

Your children’s children will look back along their heritage and see an old Aunt or Uncle.

A Grammy and or a Pop Pop. Those children in the future may hear about your life before you loved God.

Then one day. Then one day. One day, a voice popped up in my head. “When are you going to stop being a rebellious young man?”

To answer that question I had to set out to investigate my life. Why did I do certain things?

I looked back across my life to my lover, the Holy Spirit wooing me, calling me closer.
