What Happens When We Remove the Bible as the Standard of Truth?

Even today, the highest standard of truth in a courtroom is a hand on the Bible. Why? Because deep down, our culture still recognizes there’s no higher authority to swear by. Remove that—and what are we left with? What replaces ultimate truth when society lets go of the very foundation it was built on?
