Immigration raid at LA car wash shows how Trump’s crackdown is changing

CTV footage obtained by the BBC shows people running from immigration agents at a car wash in Los Angeles.

That raid – and others like it across the city – mark a sharp rise in the White House's efforts to find and deport undocumented migrants.

During his campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly said he would focus on deporting non-citizens accused of violent crimes. That promise won broad support, even among some Hispanic immigrant groups.

But in recent weeks, the administration has widened its targets, aiming to increase arrests.
