Democrat Senator Alex Padilla Forcibly Removed from DHS Briefing

LOS ANGELES — Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) was forcibly removed from a Department of Homeland Security press briefing in Los Angeles on Thursday after attempting to interrupt the event, which featured remarks from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

According to witnesses, Padilla entered the restricted area without authorization and began demanding answers on immigration enforcement policies before being escorted out by security personnel. The briefing, intended to address border security updates, briefly paused during the incident but resumed shortly after Padilla’s removal.

Neither DHS nor Padilla’s office has issued an official statement regarding the confrontation.
