Suddenly, a great earthquake occurred, and an angel of the Lord rolled back the stone and sat on it. The guards were terrified, but the angel told the women not to be afraid—Jesus had risen, just as He said.

The women ran to tell the disciples, and on the way, they met the risen Jesus Himself. They worshiped Him, and He told them to go and share the news. Meanwhile, the guards reported everything to the chief priests, who bribed them to spread a false story—that Jesus’ disciples had stolen His body.

Finally, Jesus met His disciples on a mountain in Galilee. Some worshiped Him, though some still doubted. There, Jesus gave them His final instructions: the Great Commission—to go into all nations, make disciples, baptize them, and teach them everything He had commanded.
