*I filmed this before Saturday’s “No Kings” event but just now got the chandelier to post. Looks like I was correct—not peaceful.

Democrats want to claim local law enforcement had the situation under control before Trump federalized the national guard. They did not.

LAPD has the lowest level of sworn staffing it has had since 1995. A combination of reduced budget, animosity towards cops, and liberal policies that favor criminality and put even dangerous criminals back on the streets, has left LAPD woefully understaffed and under resourced. For context, in 2020, we had around 10,000 sworn officers. Today we have around 8,700. By next year, we’ll be cut down to 8,400.

In case you’re not following along, we are less prepared to deal with these riots than we were even during the awful 2020 “summer of love.”

I don’t speak for LAPD, but I listen to what they say, and I pay attention to what’s going on in my city. It seems pretty clear that for exactly a week now, this situation hasn’t been appropriately under control. Yet rather than working to get it under control, the mayor and the governor are battling Trump and ICE.

As usual—in an effort to make any and every situation about demonizing Trump—Democrats aren’t telling you the whole story.
