What this horror is doing to Gaza's children... I saw it in their eyes

Their eyes said what words couldn’t.

In Cairo, I met Palestinian families who fled the war—children carrying pain too heavy for their age.

The trauma was in their silence, in their drawings, in the way they held on.

And still… they gave me a gift.

A keychain with my name on it.

Kindness, even in heartbreak.
I’m not here to argue sides.

I’m here to hold space for the innocent—those who never chose this war but live with its scars.
Children shouldn’t inherit trauma.

They should inherit peace.
Let’s remember our shared humanity—before it’s too late.
