DDR5 is the future for PC builds in 2024, and there is still a wide price gap between DDR4 and DDR5. So when pricing up a new build there are always areas to save a little money.
Lucky for us the Crucial Pro Series DDR5 is available pretty much everywhere, and at very competitive prices. Often beating favourites like Corsair Vengeance models.
But what is the trade off? And what does it mean for overall system performance?
Do you really care as long as it works out of the box and doesn't cost a small fortune?

I really like the Crucial Pro Series DDR5 kits, they look very understated and yet quite premium at the same time with their matt black heat spreaders.
Also the fact that these work with Intel or AMD systems with ZERO fuss and support XMP3.0 and AMD EXPO as standard, this means you won't be buying the wrong RAM for your build. Although you can definitely spend a lot more and get faster RAM, but is it really worth it?
