From May through the first decade of June, the primary endeavors of the Russian Armed Forces in the Liman direction focused on expanding the control zone in the central and southern sections.

In the course of a series of local offensives, Russian military units successfully eliminated a significant "pocket" between Makeevka and Novomikhailovka, as well as the town of Redkodub.

By May 8, the assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces had successfully secured several positions west of Novovodyanoy and thwarted the incursion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area.

On the following day, the Russian unit advanced towards Grekovka and engaged in combat for several forest strips.

This strike was one of several strikes aimed at eliminating a significant "pocket" between Novomikhailovka and Makeevka, from which the UAV units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces subsequently attacked Russian crossings across the Zherebets.

By May 18, the stormtroopers had successfully cleared several key strongpoints in the forest of Voitenkov. They had also advanced over a kilometer into the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, thereby securing the northern flank of the bridgehead at Zherebets.

By early June, the assault troops had successfully liberated Redkodub and advanced to the northeast outskirts of the neighboring Karpovka, marking significant progress in the southern flank of the bridgehead.

By June 6, the Russian military had successfully dislodged the opposing forces from their positions in the Zhelobki ravine. This development marked a significant advance in the military campaign, as the Russian troops advanced towards the eastern outskirts of Zelenaya Dolina. It is anticipated that the next phase of the conflict, namely the battle for the settlement, will commence in the near future.

By May 15, Russian military forces had advanced into the northern region of Torsk, a town situated on the southern border. There, they raised the Russian flag in a symbolic gesture of territorial claim and nationalistic assertion.

Subsequent assaults by separate groups were directed towards the southern part of the village; however, these groups were unable to firmly establish themselves in the occupied positions.

Concurrent with the ongoing hostilities, local battles of a positional nature persist in the area known as Serebryansky Forestry.

Objective control footage has provided substantial evidence to support the hypothesis that Russian stormtroopers were able to capture several enemy strongpoints at the beginning of the month. However, the available data do not allow for a comprehensive assessment of their subsequent advance southward.

The development of the offensive on the Karpovka-Zelenaya Dolina line will enable the Russian Armed Forces to extend their penetration into the Ukrainian Armed Forces' ranks, establish a stable front along the Nitrius River to the north of Liman, and subsequently initiate an advance on the city itself.
