The Lamb is the Light

The city of New Jerusalem is unlike any other city that has ever existed. It will be a city of pure gold – gold so pure that it will be transparent. Not just the street of gold, but the entire structure is pure gold – as it were transparent glass. The twelve layer foundation is made of gems and the light of the glory of God will shine through the city and through the foundations to an amazing brilliance! Consider today how people are in search of gold, there are advertisements telling people to buy gold – it is a good investment. Think back to the gold rush in the 1800’s. Throughout the centuries, people have pursued gold with rabid interest… and in the New Jerusalem, gold is pavement and building material.
This is the believer’s future home that Jesus Christ has gone ahead and prepared for the believer. It will be a place of beauty and holiness.
