Where is Mine Honour?
(The Honour Due to the Father)

Text: Malachi 1:1-6

Objective: that the brethren appreciate and honor their fathers as they should and specially our heavenly Father. The Fathers also to be exhorted and encouraged.

Intro:
Define – honor, father, leader, servant, provider, ruler
Mal. 1:6 – God the Father is asking, seeking for Honour

The Honour that is Due to the Father:
1. Fundamental - Basic – we know it – one of ten commandments
2. It can be given or taken – we choose out of our own volition
a. To God, men, etc.
3. True Honor – belongs to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
a. true honor - deserved honor is to the Lord, the Father and son
b. not heredity but by merit
c. Honor that matters if from the Lord God the Father - John 8:54
d. True servants of the Lord God the Father are worthy of honor - John 12:26
i. and like the Lord Jesus - those that are well-pleasing to God

Message/conclusion:
Let us appreciate and honor our fathers as they should and specially our heavenly Father. To the Fathers be exhorted and encouraged!
