Suspected Shooter Of Minnesota Lawmakers Arrested After Manhunt | Firstpost America | N18G

Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were shot dead in a targeted attack early Saturday. State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were also seriously injured in a related shooting. The suspect, 57-year-old Vance Boelter, was arrested in rural Sibley County after a statewide manhunt. Authorities believe the attack was politically motivated and that Boelter may have impersonated a police officer. He faces two counts of murder and two of attempted murder. Governor Tim Walz called it an “unspeakable tragedy,” mourning the loss of Hortman as a respected leader and friend. The investigation remains ongoing.
