All the Pretty Horses

Written and illustrated by Susan Jeffers.

The story is based on a traditional lullaby and follows a young girl who is lulled to sleep by her mother's singing of the song. As she sleeps, she dreams of various horses, including "blacks and bays, dapple grays," and "coach and six little horses".
