As the electrifying frontman of Nitzer Ebb, McCarthy didn’t just ignite dance floors—he forged the soul of electronic body music. In the ‘90s EBM scene, two names stood tall: Front 242’s surgical precision and Nitzer Ebb’s raw, heart-pounding fury. With British punk’s snarling edge and neo-tribal rhythms, McCarthy’s commanding vocals and pulsing synths were a primal force, shaking the underground to its core.

Today, we salute the man who gave us anthems for a generation.
