Special Report: A day of reckoning has come for popular Christian music as allegations from CCM's top decades-long artist admitted to living a double life that was supposedly a well-known open secret. Michael Tait, former frontman for the Christian rock band Newsboys and a founding member of DC Talk, is confronting a barrage of allegations of sexual assault, including drugging and raping an underage male, according to two major investigations. The first wave of allegations came from a 2 1/2-year investigation published by the Roy's Report. Subsequent revelations, published in a June 13 report from The Guardian, came in the wake of Tait's Instagram confession last week acknowledging decades-long drug abuse and engaging in unwanted sensual contact involving men.
