Following the crossing of the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russian Armed Forces redirected their efforts toward expanding the control zone in the border area. In the preceding week, the Russian forces successfully completed the liberation of Orekhovo and expelled the enemy from the majority of Novonikolaevka and Alekseyevka.

In the northern sector, stormtroopers, advancing from the east along the Volchiy river and from the south, successfully repelled the enemy from the eastern part of Novonikolaevka.
