Kathleen Kennedy Wants Bob Iger to Get an Oscar For TANKING Disney!

Next year, the Academy Awards will be handing out honorary Oscars to several foundational people in the industry including Tom Cruise and Dolly Parton. Cruise is very worthy of that distinction, but Dolly? It kinda makes sense and thanks to the Academy's implicit bias, the only chance Tom likely has to ever get his due.

If Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy had her way, there would be another recipient of said honor and it would be her boss Bob Iger. For the recognition of such accomplishments as buying everything at exorbitant prices, the current Disney CEO would be the second recipient of that honor if it were to come to pass for the head of the House of Mouse. Walt Disney was afforded multiple honorary awards for his tangible contributions, but did he overpay for Fox? I don't think so!
