Macron warns violent Iran regime change would trigger ‘chaos’

French President Emmanuel Macron warned against using military force to overthrow Iran’s regime, saying it would lead to chaos and regional instability.

Speaking at the G7 summit, Macron cautioned that forced regime change, as seen in Iraq and Libya, had disastrous consequences.

His comments come amid concerns the U.S. may join Israel’s military campaign against Iran, Politico has reported.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz confirmed President Trump is considering that option, while Trump himself said he wants a “real end” to the conflict and is not inclined to negotiate.
