This is not just a true crime story—it’s a memory that still haunts me.

In the summer of 1981, I was just 10 years old, living in a creepy old house in East Vancouver with a mysterious elderly woman. That summer was the most terrifying of my life. The news was saturated with headlines about Clifford Robert Olson, the serial killer whose reign of terror gripped British Columbia. His face was everywhere, and his shadow seemed to loom over every street corner.

But what happened in and around that house was more than just background noise. I witnessed a violent dog attack, watched my neighbor get brutally beaten, and had a near-abduction experience myself with a predator lurking in plain sight. The entire neighborhood felt cursed.

This episode is part personal horror story, part local history—a raw account of a time when Vancouver was gripped by fear, and evil felt far too close to home.

🕯️ In this episode:

The strange and unsettling energy of the house I called home

The true story of Clifford Olson’s media-fueled terror
