In a troubling development, Pakistan’s Jaffar Express train was hit by a bomb blast near the cattle market area in Jacobabad, Balochistan. The explosion caused six carriages to derail, marking the second attack on the train this year. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.

Authorities have temporarily halted train operations on the affected route as police secure the site and launch an investigation into the incident. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.

This recent blast follows a major security incident in March when the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) hijacked the Jaffar Express with 380 passengers on board. The Pakistani Armed Forces responded with Operation Green Bolan, successfully rescuing 354 hostages but resulting in the deaths of 33 BLA militants and 18 soldiers, along with multiple injuries.

The repeated attacks on the Jaffar Express highlight the ongoing instability and security challenges in the Balochistan region, underscoring concerns about safety along this critical border area.
