Nelson Ford Q&A #4, S&W Quality Control, Bent Side Plates, Pre-1981 Pennies, Timing Cylinders 6vs.7
4 months ago
42
In this Q&A Nelson addresses modern Smith and Wesson quality issues expressed by several commenters, replacing versus bending the hand in a Smith and Wesson revolver, as well as going over timing cylinders by working with the lugs and the differences in 6 shot cylinders versus 7 shot cylinders (this will be addressed in it's own complete video in the future which will include the pictures he refers to). Dark bores in old guns, and pre-1981 pennies as soft hold points for small parts in vices, if widening the cylinder gap helps against wear in K-frame revolvers when using 357magnums and a few other questions.
