JUDE as the previous seven epistles is a general description of the apostasy and spiritism in the last days. Jude reveals some strange insights into the evil influences of the underworld and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12; Heb. 13:9). The insights reveal the reason for the destruction of the world by a flood of water and the destruction of the cities by fire. This same perversion will be repeated during the Tribulation (Matt. 24:36-38; Luke 17:26-32).

Jude, an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ and brother to James, is the author of this epistle (Luke 6: 16; Acts 1:13). Jude exhorted the common man to contend for the faith (1 Cor. 16:13; 2 Cor. 13:5; Col. 1:23; 1 Tim. 4:1-6). This spiritual contention is to be waged against the evil doctrines of false prophets. Sensual spiritists of Satan will have world dominance through the Vatican during the Tribulation (Rev. 18:23). The doctrine of devils is hindered when common man regularly expose its inconsistencies (1 Tim. 4:1-6; Titus 2:8; 3:10-11).

The hypocritical proponents of the mysterious religion of Babylon attempt to intimidate the believers by accusing them of being bigots, cultists, judgmental, and opinionated (Matt. 7:1-5; Acts 24:14). The sevenfold preparation by the faithful witness will empower the words of the witness (Jude 20-23). Amos demonstrates the faithful witness to the false prophets and their wicked hierarchy (Amos 7: 10-17). Aquila and Priscilla reveals an humble presentation of the truth to the open-minded and sincere Apollos (Acts 18:24-28). The Lord Jesus demonstrates both methods of witnessing to a religious leader and a common woman (John 3:1-21 ; 4:1-42).

The final authority in any presentation of truth is the written word of God. One Bible is the pure word of God (Rev. 6:9; 12:11). That one Bible provides authority and doctrinal stability for a people to be of one mind (2 Cor. 13:11; Eph. 4:4-7; Phil. 1:27). The theme of the epistle is contending for the faith. The epistle contains 25 verses.
