GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA GOOD FRIENDS!!!
As I was reading this morning scripture, God was showing me something from his word that I think we all need to realize. Something that IVP Commentary that sums up so well, which is the following: “Equality in Christ is the starting point for all truly biblical social ethics. The church that does not express this equality and unity in Christ in its life and ministry is not faithful to the gospel.” The same commentary goes on to say, “When men exclude women from significant participation in the life and ministry of the church, they negate the essence of the gospel.”
I think that’s why this first question has been really getting me to think about my own attitudes about unity and diversity, being truly one in Christ, and I had to share it with you tonight. Please read this question carefully, and I pray that God speaks to your heart through it, and that you can be honest with yourself about it.

How does diversity better represent God?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things God has been showing me on this issue, through not only what I read this morning, but with this verse above and many others, through this blog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you get you to really thinking about this issue, and your attitude in this area. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that you not only think about it but act on it.

How can you celebrate diversity in Christ?

I want to leave you with this quote from IVP Commentary, that I think is really important, and I pray that you heed it. “The equality of all believers before God must be demonstrated in social relationships within the church if the truth of the gospel is to be expressed.” As such, I pray tonight, that we learn to look beyond race, biological gender, social status, skin color, denomination anything else about each other, and learn to love each other through the unity that's made possible only through Jesus Christ. That we ask God to help us check our egos at the door and learn to cooperate and communicate with each other in unity. Most of all, I pray that we heed the words of the apostle Paul in this matter, that it doesn't matter whether we are male or female, black, brown, red, yellow, white, or any other color, but if we all know Christ as our savior that's all that should matter.
