Should the WNBA have issued suspensions?
The league shocked fans after announcing no player will be suspended for the chaotic brawl that erupted during the Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun game — even though Caitlin Clark was jabbed in the eye and slammed to the floor.

The game quickly spiraled into chaos. Clark was struck by Connecticut’s Jacy Sheldon, then violently shoved by Marina Mabrey — a move many believed warranted an immediate ejection. Instead, Mabrey only received a technical foul during the game, which was later upgraded to a flagrant 2 after the fact.

More scuffles followed. Indiana’s Sophie Cunningham was ejected for retaliating with a hard foul that sparked another fight, with Lindsay Allen and Sheldon also sent off. Despite the dramatic scenes and multiple flagrant fouls, the WNBA confirmed Wednesday that no suspensions will be handed down.

The league later admitted that the original officiating decisions were incorrect, and Mabrey should have been ejected. Indiana's coach Stephanie White criticized officials, warning earlier in the game that tensions would escalate.
