David Knight and Rick Hill talk about how Rick took control of his health, walked out of the Mayo Clinic, after he’d been given a death sentence because of a cancer diagnosis. Now, more than 50-years later, Rick is not only surviving but thriving because he took his health matters into his own hands.

Rick was treated in 1974 for Stage 3 cancer, given a death sentence, had undergone many exploratory surgeries because that was the only way to tell how far the cancer has spread. Rick was told there was cancer in his neck, at the top of his feet, in his lymphatic system and soon it would be in his entire body.

He initially agreed to the Mayo Clinic’s treatment plan of aggressive chemo. He received a letter that read, “If you want to survive cancer you need to leave the Mayo Clinic.” The letter came from a Baptist minister who urged him to leave, go to Tijuana and get natural treatments. He did. And he’s here today because of those actions.
