22) The Book of Solomon

SONG OF SOLOMON is a love song about the Lord Jesus Christ and His Bride, the church of the New Testament. The lyrics of this song contain doctrinal references to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as the songs of Moses, Deborah and Barak, David, and Isaiah. These songs are not like the heretical Battle Uymn of the Republic, which contains corrupt doctrine of a deceived Unitarian. Foolish people in the United States prior to their Civil War used this song to justify the murder of lawful citizens and the tyranny of martial law.

The love relationship between an husband and wife is portrayed in this book. It records the intimate thoughts of each spouse and their public praise of each other. The ideal marriage is when husband and wife are exotic lovers and best friends (5:16) and this is accomplished with the following words: forever, righteousness, judgment, lovingkindness, mercies, faithfulness, and thou shalt know the Lord (Hosea 2:19-20).

God established the institution of marriage for the holy purposes of companionship, comforts completeness, enjoyment, fruitfulness, security, protection, instruction, and doctrine (Eph. 5:30-32). An ideal and loving marital relationship is one of the greatest examples that parents can provide for their children.

The name Solomon occurs seven times in the 8 chapters. and 117 verses of this love story. The Jews used to read the book annually at the Passover Feast to remind them of God's love for the children of Israel (Ex., 19:5-6; Isa. 54:5).
