Iran claims it is enriching uranium for civilian purposes, but experts say no other non-nuclear armed state enriches uranium at the same levels.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, the global nuclear energy watchdog, says Iran has begun enriching uranium at 60 per cent, which experts say far exceeds levels needed for a nuclear power plant, suggesting instead that it is moving closer to obtaining a bomb.
