Episode 8 — “Spirit Filled”
Only one seal guarantees the resurrection promise—the indwelling Ruach ha-Kodesh. In this final bonus teaching we trace how the Spirit marks out the true children of God—“the Israel of promise” (Rom 9 :6-8; Gal 3 :26-29). Fleshly descent alone never qualified anyone for the age to come; Spirit-birth always has.

Rom 8 :9-11 | John 3 :5-8 – If the Spirit dwells in you, He will raise your mortal body; without Him you “do not belong to Messiah.”

2. Old-Testament Precedent: Spirit-Filled Saints

Moses – “A man in whom is the Spirit” (Num 27 :18) … shining face, prophecy, resurrection on Mount of Transfiguration.

The Judges & Prophets – Othniel, Gideon, Samuel, Elijah, Isaiah—each moved when “the Spirit of YHWH came upon” them (Judg 3 :10; 6 :34; 1 Sam 10 :6; 2 Pet 1 :21).

Ezekiel’s Promise – Heart of stone → heart of flesh when God puts His Spirit within (Ezek 36 :26-27).

3. The Under-Twenty Clause

Numbers 14 :28-31 – Children under twenty were spared the wilderness judgment because they “had no knowledge of good and evil.”

1 Cor 7 :14 – A believing parent sanctifies the household; the Spirit’s covering extends to the children until they can choose covenant for themselves.

4. Pentecost & Beyond

Joel 2 :28 → Acts 2 – Outpouring on “sons, daughters, young and old” proves the age of Spirit-marked resurrection has begun.

Sealing for the Day of Redemption (Eph 1 :13-14)—the Spirit as down-payment that the grave cannot hold you.

Assurance: The Spirit’s presence today is God’s signature on your future body.
