Through the Bible in 7 Hours Session IV

Good morning and welcome to session 4 of our series on the book Through the Bible in 7 Hours. This is Walking in Grace with:

Last week we talked about Dispensational Bible study, Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, dispensation, and the great division.

Today we are going to discuss the How of Dispensational Bible study to include the Three-fold division: time past, but now, and ages to come. This is going to be a lot of information so be ready to move and groove with it.

Ok let’s pray...

Let’s try an exercise....

Pick a number between 1 and 10

Multiply that number by 9

Add the two digits together and then subtract 5

Assign a letter to the answer (1=a 2=b 3=c 4=d and so on)

Pick a country that starts with that letter

Now pick an animal that starts with the second letter of the country

What was your answer? I bet it was elephant

What is the significance to this exercise?

The point is that this is just a system. Almost everybody gets the same answer because it has led you to that point. The Bible is no different. If you read it correctly, it will lead you to the point. You will fully understand because the Bible directs you to what applies to you and what doesn’t.

In Paul’s epistles, Romans through Philemon, he tells us to rightly divide the word of truth. Let’s talk about how God through Paul laid out how to Rightly Divide.

Look with me at Ephesians 2:11,12

[Eph 2:11-12 KJV] 11 Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

What this is saying is that in time past we weren’t allowed the covenants that were promised to Israel. We are what was referred to as the heathen. We were not welcome unless we converted to proselyte jews. Here are a few examples of us being called heathen...

[Lev 26:33 KJV] 33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

[2Sa 22:50 KJV] 50 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

[2Ki 16:3 KJV] 3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

[2Ki 21:2 KJV] 2 And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

[1Ch 16:35 KJV] 35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, [and] glory in thy praise.

[Psa 78:55 KJV] 55 He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

Go look, heathen is all in the old testament.

Even when Jesus was on this earth, he wasn’t sent for us. He was sent ultimately to die for us, but he and his disciples weren’t here to minister to anyone except the jews, the lost sheep of the house of israel.

[Mat 10:6 KJV] 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

[Mat 15:24 KJV] 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

It is so obvious that were weren’t allowed into the kingdom of Heaven. There was and is no place for the heathen, or people who weren’t jews.

Now, we have looked at who the Bible was meant for prior to Jesus showing Paul the Gospel for today, so let’s look at the But Now.

Look with me at eph 2:13-18

[Eph 2:13-18 KJV] 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off ( this was the heathen or also known as gentiles ) are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us]; (Christ has made all of the people of the earth equal ) 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, ( He has made us all one body. There is no longer Jew and Gentile differences, we are the same ) having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

We all have access to God! We aren’t kept away any longer! There is no them and us!

[Rom 11:11-12 KJV] 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them [be] the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

This says right here that the Jews have fallen so that the Gentiles can come to salvation. The Jews were God’s chosen people and they had Jesus crucified so God brought up the Gentiles through their fall in order to make them jealous.

Look, I didn’t decide for this to be true, I just study the Bible and it tells me that it is true. The Jews are no longer above anybody else in God’s eyes, and neither is Israel. Sorry to break it to you Mr. Cruz. Oh and by the way, the verse he quoted in his interview with Tucker, isn’t talking about the nation of israel. Words matter. Context matters.

This is the problem with modern day christianity by the way. People pick out verses and scripture and don’t pay attention to the three golden questions. Remember the 3 questions? Who is it written to, who is saying it or writing it and when was it written or written to.

Alright, back to the topic at hand.

Remember when I said that the heathen weren’t allowed into the kingdom of heaven? Well we still aren’t and we never will be. Look with me at

[1Co 15:49 KJV] 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

[Eph 1:3 KJV] 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:

[Eph 2:6 KJV] 6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:

We will be in heaven with Christ. The jews shall inherit the earth.

[Psa 37:9, 22 KJV] 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. ... 22 For [such as be] blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and [they that be] cursed of him shall be cut off.

[Mat 5:5 KJV] 5 Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

[Mat 5:10, 20 KJV] 10 Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ... 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

[Mat 7:21 KJV] 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

The kingdom of heaven is Israel on earth. we will not be joining them there. We will be in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour!

Does all of this make sense? I know I'm going over a lot of stuff here and it may be too fast for some of you, so remember 2 tim 2:15

[2Ti 2:15 KJV] 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Alright, now that we have covered the current dispensation with the “but now”, let’s go ahead and look at the ages to come. Eph 2:7

[Eph 2:7 KJV] 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

We are talking about the rapture:

[1Th 4:13-18 KJV] 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Then there is the 7 years of tribulation which is in Matt 3:7, Jer 30:7 and Dan 9

We are talking about the second coming of Christ in the ages to come. anything in the future is the ages to come.

There's the 1000 year reign over the earth in matt 25:34, matt 6:10 and dan 2:44

[Dan 2:44 KJV] 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, [but] it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

And the great white throne of judgement in Rev. 20:11-15

[Rev 20:11-15 KJV] 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I know this was a lot of information and I couldn’t cover all of it like it should be covered, so make sure that you are studying like the Bible tells you to do. I can’t do it all for you. Do you see that everything has an order and a place in the Bible? IF you rightly divide the word, it will all make so much more sense and it will be a million times easier to read. Here are a few questions for you to go through and answer on for your own studying.

How would you explain the different instructions in Lev. 11:7,8 and 1 Tim 4:4?

What verse tells us how we are to study God’s word?

What is the definition of dispensation?

What are the basic characteristics of “time past”, “but now” and “ages to come”?

What books of the Bible fit into the “but now” time period?

Thank you for joining us today and we look forward to seeing you all back here next Saturday at 10 am Central time! Have a great week!
