Stump first gained recognition in the 1980s as a member of the band Alcatrazz, where he showcased his exceptional technical skills and melodic sensibilities. His blistering solos and intricate riffing quickly caught the attention of music enthusiasts and fellow musicians, solidifying his reputation as a guitar virtuoso.

Throughout his career, Stump has released numerous solo albums and collaborated with various bands and artists, consistently delivering high-energy performances and pushing the boundaries of traditional guitar playing.
