Often, these days, roiled for seeking out the facts about what has become too often a myth. In my study of the bardic tradition and the Singing the Story of a Tribal History, there is a mechanism for preserving the essence of the story but also is a tendency to, over time, through embellishment produce mythical heroes or onerous dark monsters removed from any semblance of who they are or what they did!
In fact, the bias of a narrative may go unexamined. When it is examined, for example, during the current epoch where Marxist dogma and method produces an abundance of unhappy people looking to blame any OTHER, despite whether they had been former friends.

I have seen this most clearly in my academic friends or from families immersed in social justice or DEI rhetoric. No the Howard Zinn history is untrue and more likely the result of his study of creative writing at Thomas Jefferson High School. Together with his early indoctrination into Brooklyn Communist circles resulted in examining history through the eye of a greedy, covetous Communist dogma; the have now and in the past exploited EVERYONE: and now THEY MUST PAY. It is a grift or a brain fart from a very hateful person. There are too many of these types of history revisionists, especially in the halls of OUR GOVERNMENT.
