Many have been fed a false narrative about how the Second World War began. When did the World War become a World War? In my eyes, this was only one occasion. When Winston Churchill chose to breech Norwegian neutrality and both invade Norway himself as Lord of the Admiralty and also causing Germany to invade too to counter them. After this, the War, became a world war. Churchill himself said he wanted to quote 'Open up the war' and that was exactly what he did, he got just what he wanted. Why did Winston do it and how?
