WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF SPEED READING?

The whole purpose of SPEED READING 4 KIDS, and THE SPEED READING CHANNEL is to make Speed Reading a universal skill, for all children--WORLDWIDE.

SPEED READING should be taught to ALL CHILDREN by the age of 10 or 12. (However, earlier would be better.)

SPEED READING must be universally available in INDIA, CHINA, MEXICO, USA, AFRICA, GERMANY, CANADA, BRITAIN, AUSTRALIA, RUSSIA, SOUTH AMERICA--and every other corner of the world.

I am not talking about "forcing" kids to speed read.

I am talking about PARENTS TEACHING their children to READ at age 2 (at home), then introducing Speed Reading between the ages of 3 and 6, in a FUN, ENTERTAINING WAY, so that they can take an interest in Speed Reading, and learn the joys of reading whole books without taking away from necessary and desirable PLAY TIME (which is so necessary for young children).

At that early age, a "Speed Reading lesson" takes only about 1 minute per day.

By the age of 8 to 10, most children would be quite capable of reading a 100-page children's chapter book in 10-15 minutes with good comprehension.

If all young children are supplied with FUN, EASY and INTERESTING chapter books (or e-books), they could easily read "a-book-a-day" without realizing that they are any different from anyone else.

The ability to read well is the foundation of a successful future. The ability to Speed Read will strengthen and enable all children to reach their full potential in all areas of life, and make for a better, prosperous future in every nation.

WHAT ARE THE LIMITS OF SPEED READING?
Is it 4,000 words per minute? Is it 10,000 wpm?

NOT ALL MINDS SPEED READ ALIKE.
Some people (even some very intelligent ones) cannot Speed Read more than 1,000 wpm, even after many months of daily use/practice. (If this describes you, or one of your family members, you can at least maximize your best potential by using an E-book reader to do most of your Speed Reading, and by enlarging the font size as much as necessary to make Speed Reading easier for your mind to process.)

Other people can Speed Read easily at 3,000 to 4,000 wpm. I have even had a few gifted student who were capable of reading over 10,000 wpm with very good understanding.

WHAT CAN ANY ORDINARY 8- OR 10-YEAR-OLD ACCOMPLISH WITH 800 wpm of SPEED READING?:
--He/she can read a 200-page Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew mystery book in about 45 minutes.
--He/she can read a 150-page Goosebumps fiction book in about 32 minutes.
--He/she can read one whole chapter book each day for a full year: "A Book
a Day Keeps the Doctor Away."
--He/she can read about 3,000 books (or more) before their 18th Birthday.

WHAT CAN ORDINARY 8- OR 10-YEAR OLD KIDS ACCOMPLISH WITH 1,500 wpm SPEED READING?:
--They can read a 150-page children's chapter book in about 16 minutes--each day.
--That will also enable them to finish all their homework in just a few minutes (or less) each day--leaving more time to have fun and quality time with family, friends, church groups, etc.
--They can read about 730 children's chapter books every year (that's TWO [2] children's chapter books, in about 30 minutes' time per day)
--Because the advancement of a child's ability to read at higher grade level is dependent on the amount of reading that the child does, any child who reads one book a day will be advancing his reading grade level at a much more accelerated rate than "normal." (ONE GRADE LEVEL PER MONTH IS NOT UNCOMMON). A child who reads a 200-page book each day (assuming 200 words per page) is reading over 1 million words per month. This is less than 27 minutes' worth of reading each day.

--Millions of parents already have their 3, 4, 5 and 6-year-old children practice the violin, or the piano for 15-30 minutes each day. WHY NOT HAVE A simple 15-minute Speed Reading routine each day that could lead to earth-shaking academic benefits?

OTHER BENEFITS:
PROTECTION. The biggest responsibility of all parents is to protect their children.

One of the chief vulnerabilities of little children is their lack of understanding of the world around them. As they learn to read (at age 2) and then to Speed Read (at age 3, 4, 5 or 6), they will begin to understand the world around them in a much bigger way. And at an earlier age. Knowledge is power. Even to young children. And this will enable kids to avoid common dangers around them, and to also recognize deception much more easily.
