The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has extended the G4 (Severe) geomagnetic storm watch through tonight, June 1, 2025 (EDT), as the ongoing passage of a coronal mass ejection (CME) continues to influence Earth's magnetosphere. Recent observations suggest that the intensity of the CME passage is gradually diminishing. However, solar wind conditions remain significantly elevated, sustaining the potential for additional periods of G3 (Strong) to G4 (Severe) geomagnetic activity in the near term.
