Saudi Arabia expressed “great concern” over the US involvement and called on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid escalation. The nuclear deal mediator Qatar warned against potential “catastrophic consequences” of the US action. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on Iran to return to the negotiating table, adding that Tehran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon. Germany also called on Iran to start negotiating with the US and Israel. The top EU diplomat, Kaja Kallas, called for de-escalation, urging all sides to step back.
